Advocacy, Education, and Collaboration

·    Advocacy:  The WSRT supports legislative initiatives including stronger standards and patient safety initiatives. We continually monitor state legislation and respond quickly to issues that concern the imaging sciences. There is strength and power in numbers, and we are better when we work together!

·    Education:  The WSRT Annual Conference currently offers 18 continuing education units over a three day period. We know that you can get your continuing education from a variety of sources, but there is nothing quite like the opportunity to meet face-to-face with large groups of other like-minded professionals.

·    Collaboration:  The WSRT offers the opportunity to meet and network with other imaging professionals, vendors, sponsors, prospective employers, and field experts. We work and learn together at conferences and through committees.  The WSRT has many volunteer opportunities and we welcome and look forward to your involvement.

·    Volunteer Opportunities:  The WSRT offers many ways to get invovled.  Volunteering on a committee is an excellent way to learn about the society, meet new people, work with others towards a common goal, and a great way to help others.

·    Mentoring: The WSRT student intern program offers the opportunity to participate and shadow the Board and Committee Members, and a way to gain experience about the governance and day-to-day operations of the organization.

·    Scholarships: The WSRT student members may apply for scholarships offered yearly and awarded at the annual meeting. Forms and information are available online.

·    Member Only Benefits:  WSRT members receive discounts with select businesses. (Discounts may require proof of membership).
